Gijsworks is run by Gijs van der Borg (KvK 87396564), based in the Netherlands. This page explains what happens to your personal data when you visit gijsworks.com or get in touch through the contact form.
What Gijsworks collects
The only personal data this site collects comes through the contact form. Nothing is stored until you submit it yourself. Once you do, I receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name, if you add one
- Your project timeline
- The type of project
- Whatever you write in the brief
How it's used
I use your details to reply to your message and, if a project follows, to plan and deliver the work. That's the only reason they exist on my end: not for marketing, not for profiling, and never shared with advertisers. Processing is based on your consent when you submit the form, and on the contract that follows if we start working together.
Form submissions are kept for at most 2 months, then deleted. If we end up working together, your details carry over into the records for that project. Everything is stored in this site's database, on the same server that hosts the site. I don't sell or trade personal data with third parties, and nobody else gets access beyond what's needed to keep the site running.

This site only sets the cookies listed below. None of them are used for advertising or for tracking you across other sites.

Security
This site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Submissions sit on a server with restricted access, limited to what's needed to run the site and respond to messages. The hosting infrastructure is actively maintained and kept up to date to close known vulnerabilities.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (AVG in Dutch law), you can ask me to:
- Show you the data I have on you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Limit or stop using it
- Provide a copy in a portable format
