JUST ME, MYSELF AND I

foto gijs My name is Gijs van der Borg.
I am an 19 year old second year CMD student at Avans University of Applied Sciences in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Throughout our study program we’ve worked with a wide range of design branches.

This includes photography, posters, concept visuals and last but not least, websites. Whilst exploring the designing aspects I’ve developed a passion for both concept visuals as websites. Driven by this passion I proudly present my portfolio to you.

JANUARY 2020

During the second year at Communication and Multimedia Design the students were tasked to make a progressive web app.


I decided to build a portfolio style website which allowed people to check out my works, leave suggestions, comment on my work and share my work. I did so by using the camera, sharing and notifications device functions.

During the first year at Communication and Multimedia Design the students were tasked to make a poster for the TEDX “Let’s make” event.

My concept was based on the ideas that idea’s grow and can just start with a little “seed”. As well as implementing bricks in the poster to represent the “Let’s make” idea.

GROUP PROJECT

During the first year at Communication and Multimedia Design the students were tasked to make a video which would generate more attention to the museum MU in Eindhoven.

Our group decided to make an eerie video featuring an old scientist in Strijp-S.
